I have a friend who is falling in love. She honestly claims the sky is bluer. Mozart moves her to tears. She has lost 15 pounds and looks like a cover girl. "I'm young again!" she shouts exuberantly. As my friend raves on about her new love, I've taken a good look at my old one. My husband of almost 20 years, Scott, has gained 15 pounds. Once a marathon runner, he now runs only down hospital halls. His hairline is receding and his body shows the signs of long working hours and too many candy bars. Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived: Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others, including Love. One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all constructed boats and left. Except for Love.

Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to hold out until the last possible moment.

When the island had almost sunk, Love decided to ask for help.

Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said,

"It was Time," Knowledge answered.
"Time?" asked Love. "But why did Time help me?"

Don't lose your love - Sad Love Story

A girl in love asked her boyfriend.
Girl: Tell me. Who do you love most in this world?
Boy: You, of course!
Girl: In your heart, what am I to you?

The boy thought for a moment and looked intently in her eyes and said, "You are my rib. It was said that God saw that Adam was lonely, during his sleep, God took one of Adam's rib and created Eve. One day, after the quarrel, the girl ran out of the house. At the opposite side of the road, she shouted, "You don't love me!"

The boy hated her childishness and out of impulse, retorted, "Maybe, it was a mistake for us to be together! You were never my missing rib!"

Suddenly, she turned quiet and stood there for a long while. He regretted what he said but words spoken are like thrown away water, you can never take it back. With tears, she went home to pack her things and was determined in breaking-up.

Before she left the house, "If I'm really not your missing rib, please let me go." She continued, "It is less painful this way. Let us go on our separate ways and search for our own partners."

Five years went by...

He never remarried but he had tried to find out about her life indirectly. She had left the country and back. She had married a foreigner and divorced. He felt anguished that she never waited for him.

In the dark and lonely night, he lit his cigarette and felt the lingering ache in his heart. He couldn't bring himself to admit that he was missing her.

One day, they finally met. At the airport, a place where there were many reUNI0Ns and good byes. He was going away on a business trip. She was standing there alone, with just the security door separating them. She smiled at him gently.

Boy: How are you?

Girl: I'm fine. How about you? Have you found your missing rib?

Boy: No.

Girl: I'll be flying to New York in the next flight.

Boy: I'll be back in 2 weeks time. Give me a call when you are back. You know my number. Nothing has changed.

With a smile, she turned around and waved good bye.

One week later, he heard of her death. She had perished in New York, in the event that shocked the world.

Midnight, once again, he lit his cigarette. And like before, he felt the lingering ache in his heart. He finally knew. She was the missing rib that he had carelessly broken.

Sometimes, people say things out of moments of fury. Most often than not, the outcome could be disastrous and detrimental. We vent our frustrations 99% at our loved ones. And even though we know that we ought to "think twice and act wisely", it's often easier said than done.

Things happen each day, many of which are beyond our control. Let us treasure every moment and everyone in our lives.

I guess we are the left-overs in this world.

Shona:
I think so...all of my friends have boyfriends, and we are the only the 2 people left in this world without any special person in our lives.

Amit:
Yup, I don't know what to do.

I know! We'll play a game.

Amit:
What game?

Shona:
I'll be your girlfriend for 30 days
and you will be my boyfriend.

That's a great plan, in fact, I don't have anything to do
much for the following few weeks.

DAY 1:
They watch their first movie
and they both are touched by the romantic film.

DAY 4:
They went go to the beach and have a picnic. Amit and Shona have their quality time together.

DAY 12:
Amit invited Shona to a circus and they ride through a Horror House.
Shona was scared and she thought she touched Amit's hand but she actually touched someone else's hand they both laughed.

DAY 15:
They saw a fortune teller down the road, and they asked for their future advice.
The fortune teller said:
"My darlings, please don't waste the time of your life, spend the rest of your time together, happily." Then tears flowed out from the teller's eyes.

DAY 20:
Shona invited Amit to go to the hill
and they saw a meteor; Shona mumbled something.

DAY 28:
They sat on the bus, and because of a bumpy road Shona gave her first kiss to Amit by accident.

DAY 29:
11:37 pm:
Shona and Amit sat in the park where they first decided to play this game.

Amit:
I'm tired Shona...Do you want anything to drink? I'll buy you one...I'll just go down the road.

Shona:
An Apple Juice, that's all. Thank you.

Amit:
Wait for me.

20 minutes later
A stranger approached Shona

Stranger:
Are you a friend of Amit?

Shona:
Yes, why? What happened?

Stranger:
A reckless drunk driver ran over Amit, and he is in critical condition in the hospital.

11:57 pm:
The doctor walked out of the emergency room; he handed Shona an apple juice and a letter.

Doctor:
We found this in Amit's pocket.

Shona reads the letter and it says:
Shona, These past few weeks, I realized you are a really cute girl, and I am really falling for you-your cherished smile, your everything when we played this game. Before this game ends, I would like you to be my girlfriend for the rest of my life.
I love you, Shona.

Shona crumpled up the paper and shouted:

"Amit! I don't want you to die-
I love you; remember that night when we saw a meteor and I mumbled something. I mumbled that I wish we would be together forever and that we would never have to end this game. Please don't leave me Amit .. I love you! You can't do this to me!"

Then the clock strikes 12...

Amit's heart stopped pumping...

It was the 30th day.
